Bodhi Tree beads with a 10mm Pearl center stone on a hand-knotted adjustable cord bracelet.
These Tibetan antique prayer beads that were collected by myself on the Tibetan Plateau. They are seeds from the Bodhi Tree which is the tree that the Buddha sat under when he achieved enlightenment. They have a wonderful patina from being worn for many years and so do not wash to preserve the oils.
Pearl -
Pacific cultured pearls that are formed when an irritant is inserted into a pearl oysters and the oyster forms layers of nacre over the irritant creating a pearl. Pearls are the only gem created by a living animal and comes from the sea not the earth. Treasured since ancient times where they would signify innocence and to strengthen our connection with the cosmos divine energies. Pearls are an introspective gem, encouraging us to be introspective and discover our true selves and our true purpose here on Earth.
